Head Start Program
NeighborImpact Head Start’s early care and education program builds success through child focused, family-centered services that enhance social competence, school readiness and overall health and well-being. Services are responsive to each child and family’s development and ethnic, cultural and linguistic heritage.
Head Start has several locations serving Central Oregon. For the 2011-2012 school year there are classes in:
East Bend: 3 morning classes, 3 afternoon classes
South Bend: 1 morning class, 1 afternoon class
West Bend: 1 morning class, 1 afternoon class
La Pine: 1 morning class, 1 afternoon class
Redmond: 4 morning classes, 1 mid-day class, 4 afternoon classes
Prineville: 1 morning class, 1 mid-day class, 1 afternoon class

Applicants for all Head Start positions are required to complete the TB Screening form and apply for enrollment in the Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division Central Background Registry, paying their online registry fee of $3.00. Registration must be complete before date of placement. Once you have received your confirming registration letter, which is usually a quick turn around, please bring it and the TB Screening form with you to your first day.
